Something to fill the gap...

I am really pushing it here....I have done so few things recently, but here a few ideas/projects that I have been getting on with. Some cushions for the house and bottles-turned candle holders. Oh yes and some home made scrub!

Latitude

So this is Latitude.
I didn't get so many good ones, my camera was misbehaving.
So, I have a few pictures of friends and some really cool theatre/cabaret type things.
Oh, not forgetting They Might Be Giants and a tiny little one of John Paul Jones, prizes if you can spot him!

Glastonbury

It has been sometime since I was here.
Since then I have been to a couple of festivals- Glastonbury and Latitude. These photographs were taken at Glastonbury, Latitude still to come.
They are mostly of friends, and the Unfair Ground/Block 9.
Oh yes, and me getting stuck in the mud whilst at work.

Re-styling!

Since Lucy Lovell gave me my sewing machine I have been very productive, mostly with gifts and finishing things off, hopefully some photographs will come soon, also a patchwork cushion which I am yet to finish.

A few other things which I have been having a go at is re-styling some of my old clothes.

I sewn a Jimmy page patch onto a denim waist coat, from a Jimmy Page t-shirt that was too small and laying dormant and made shorts out of the some black and white trousers that were a little baggy and perhaps a little over the top.

My beautiful new sewing machine!

I just wanted to introduce you to my new singer sewing machine!
-What a blessing it has been! All thanks to my good friend Lucy Lovell

Here she are some photographs of her with my other old singer!

Bunting!

Hello again.
As you can tell I am keeping quite busy at the minute. I have just finished off some bunting, and I also made a cute little drawstring bag for it to go in.
The Bunting is for my friends RSPB stall, which she has at several festivals over the summer, she is also the proud owner of the purple polka dot bag.
I sort of went the long way to making this bunting as I originally had it all strung along some wool, however I didn't like the way that it looked so opted for some ribbon.
I have definitely figured out a much easier for the next few pieces of bunting that I have to make!

Chocolate chip soda bread

Here is a photograph of some chocolate chip soda bread that I made.
Not a fan of chocolate chip soda bread so it isn't my cup of tea, but I am adamant that I will bake everything in my cake making book!

Two down, Twenty-six to go!

I just wanted to add a little tip that I picked up when making this bread- and that is a substitute for making buttermilk, having not bought quite enough.
Anyway all you need to do is add half a pint - 284ml of milk to a tbsp of lemon juice or white vinegar and let it stand for about 5 minutes.
